The location near Rosslyn Chapel was a major plus for my stay. The spacious room had a comfortable bed and a separate sitting area, which I appreciated. Bottled water was a nice touch. Breakfast in the tea room was enjoyable, with a great selection of food. I faced several issues. The decor felt dark and outdated, and there were noticeable stains on the carpet. Only one packet of biscuits seemed a bit stingy. During my stay, I noticed a lack of communication from the hosts. check-in felt impersonal as I had to collect the key from a nearby inn. my inquiries about WiFi went unanswered, which was frustrating.

The pros, the cons, and everything between
My stay was delightful! The King Room was stylish, clean, and very well heated, making it comfortable for relaxation. The breakfast options were a feast for the senses, with plenty of delicious choices available.
While generally pleasant, the shower space felt cramped and could use an update. The decor seemed quite dark, lacking a fresh vibe, which may not appeal to everyone.

Staying here was great for exploring the nearby Roslin War Memorial and Roslin Castle, both just a short walk away. The King Room we had was beautifully renovated and provided a peaceful atmosphere after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast options in the cafe were varied and delicious, and it was a treat to enjoy some time in such a quiet area. it was exactly what we needed for a restful getaway.

we got upgraded to a bigger room which was like a nice surprise! room was super clean with comfy beds and tea&coffee making stuff. there’s a bus stop right outside which made it easy to get to edinburgh. plus, it was just a short walk to roslyn chapel, which was really cool. staff were pleasant when we arrived, made us feel welcomed.
the cafe downstairs was kinda busy so getting the manager's attention took some time. also, it was really hot in the room when we got there but we fixed it pretty quickly.

The room I stayed in was quite spacious, offering a separate sitting area that was a comfortable spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Bottled water in the room was a nice touch that added to the experience.
The decor was quite dark and felt outdated, with noticeable stains on the carpet, which honestly gave the place a tired vibe. I found the check-in process a bit inconvenient, having to collect the key from a nearby inn, and my attempts to get information about the WiFi went unanswered. Only one packet of biscuits in the room felt a bit stingy for what one might expect in this kind of setup.
